Job summary

Center for Family and Child Enrichment, Inc. in Northbridge, MA, seeks an in-person interpreter to support families with young children in our Early Intervention program.

You will facilitate communication between parents and staff, schedule visits, and provide interpreting for intake, evaluation and home visits. Fluent bilingual abilities and a valid driver's license are required; prior interpreting experience is preferred.

• Interpreting experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

Job Description

• Provide in person interpreting for families
• Facilitate communication between parents/caregivers and early intervention staff.
• Schedule visits for early intervention staff
• Provide interpreting services for early intervention visits including intake, evaluation and home visits.
• $25-30 per hour

Qualifications

• Verbal fluency in both English and language of specific population served.
• Interpreting experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for in person interpreting services
• Understanding of interpreter role in encouraging and fostering direct communication between provider and parent/caregiver.
