Job summary

Boys Town is seeking an individual to support the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) team by providing operational and communication support, while also facilitating interactions with test candidates.

This role requires not only fluency in ASL but also administrative competencies, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication among various stakeholders. Candidates must have an associate's degree and interpreter certification.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English across a range of registers required.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional interpreting experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative or customer-facing support role required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EIPA test candidates.
  • Manage the EIPA general inbox and coordinate communications.
  • Coordinate candidate accommodations requests.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and notes.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for administrative records.
  • Provide ASL/English interpreting services for EIPA-related activities.

Skills

Advanced ASL receptive and expressive skills
Working knowledge of EIPA scoring levels
Excellent written English skills
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Professional, service-oriented approach

Education

Associate's degree
Interpreter certification (RID CI/CT, NIC, NAD Level 3 or higher, EIPA 4+)
