A local education authority is seeking an ASL Interpreter Tutor to facilitate communication for deaf and hard of hearing students. Qualifications
Minimum 4.0 score on Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA).
National Interpreter Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
Responsibilities
Facilitate communication between deaf/hard of hearing students and others.
Convey teacher instruction and assist in daily activities.
Serve as a resource for staff regarding deaf/hard of hearing students.
Skills
Fluent in ASL
Experience as an educational interpreter
