The Pennsylvania School for the Deaf is seeking a full-time, 10-month K-12 teacher to provide high-quality instruction across Preschool through Transition Academy. You will plan lessons, model ASL, and develop IEPs in collaboration with families and districts.

Collaborate with therapists, aides, and specialists to create an inclusive learning environment and track student progress while aligning with PSD's values of Students 1st, Language, Respect, Communication, and Community Engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• ASL proficiency Level 3 or above required; advanced preferred.
• Experience with Deaf children across age ranges preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver lessons for Preschool through Transition Academy.
• Draft and implement IEPs with parents and school districts.
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, therapists, and specialists.
• Model and use American Sign Language consistently.
• Adapt instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain documentation.
• Uphold PSD values in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
