Job summary

The Pennsylvania School for the Deaf is seeking a dedicated Teacher to provide high-quality instruction across Preschool through Transition Academy, delivering lessons in ASL and supporting students’ development. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field required.
• ASL proficiency at Level 3 (ASLPI) or above; advanced preferred.
• Experience with Deaf children across Early Childhood to Secondary is preferred.
• Understanding of accessibility and communication principles in school environments.
• Experience working on an instructional team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and provide high-quality instruction to students Preschool–Transition Academy.
• Draft and implement IEPs with parents and districts.
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, therapists, and specialists for inclusive learning.
• Plan developmentally appropriate lessons and model ASL consistently.
• Monitor student progress and adapt instruction to individual needs.
• Support students’ academic, social-emotional, and communication development.
