Job summary

Bend Park and Recreation District in Bend, Oregon, seeks an ASL Inclusion Leader to support deaf and hard-of-hearing participants in district programs. A language assessment adds a differential to the hourly rate upon completion.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide language inclusion support for deaf and hard-of-hearing participants in district programs.
  • Interacts with participants through crafts, games, and planned activities.
  • Translate directions quickly in noisy or fast-paced environments (e.g., swim lessons).
  • Plan and lead activities within the program plan.
  • Supervise and participate in field trips and activities.
  • Communicate effectively with participants' guardians regarding behavior and needs.
