Marrakech, Inc. is hiring an ASL Fluent Support Staff to assist individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home in West Hartford, CT.

You will help residents with daily living skills, accompany medical appointments, and follow tailored support plans to promote independence. The role emphasizes compassionate, reliable teamwork; no prior ASL experience is required, and paid training is provided.

Qualifications

About the Role

As an American Sign Language (ASL) Fluent Support Staff, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, who are dually diagnosed, in a residential group home setting. You’ll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
• Supporting medical needs and appointments
• Following individualized support and behavior plans
• Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
• Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
• Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking reliable, compassionate individuals who are motivated to make a difference.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid

Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful—but not required. We provide paid training to help you succeed.

Pay

• $20.45 per hour
• Additional $0.50 per hour with DDS Medication Certification
• Certification can be obtained after hire if not already certified
