Avamere at Chestnut Lane in Gresham, OR is seeking a Medication Tech for PRN / on-call shifts. The role administers medications and provides direct care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following facility policy.

Responsibilities include passing meds per orders, accurate documentation in the EMR, updating the pharmacy, maintaining the med cart, and monitoring residents for side effects.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.

Aufgaben

• Pass medications according to physician orders, delegated by and under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in accordance with facility policy.
• Record medications administered in the resident’s record.
• Notify the pharmacy when medications need to be refilled.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and medication room.
• Monitor and report side effects of medications to the Director of Health Services.
• Assist with medical appointments and advocate for residents’ needs.
