UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ is seeking an American Sign Language (ASL) – English interpreter to support deaf students by interpreting between English and ASL in classroom settings, meetings, and events.

The position requires an Associate’s degree and national RID certification, with experience serving a diverse student population preferred. This is a part-time, on-site role with potential for travel to campus events.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required.
• National RID certification is required.
• Experience with a diverse student population is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret English to ASL and ASL to English for deaf students during class and meetings with professors and staff.
• Assist at college events as needed.
• Collaborate with faculty to support accessible communication.
