Monterey County Office Of Education seeks an Educational Interpreter (Spreckels) to provide interpreting and instructional support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination of education equivalent to a high school diploma
Proficiency in manually coded English (SEE, Signed English, and/or Pigeon Signed English) and American Sign Language (ASL) including finger spelling and simultaneous interpreting
Licenses and Certifications: EIPA/ESSE-I/R/NAD-ACCI or equivalent certification; CA driver’s license; First Aid and CPR within 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

Provide interpreting and instructional support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in general education classrooms and specialized settings
Use sign language, fingerspelling, natural gestures, and speech to communicate with students; support participation in extracurricular activities
