Qualifications

• Any combination of education equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Must have achieved a minimum score of 4.0 on EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessments.
• Sign Language Interpreter Certification or equivalent.
• First Aid CPR Certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting and instructional support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in general education and special day classrooms.
• Communicate using sign language, fingerspelling, natural gestures, and speech with students.
• Assist with substitute teaching as needed in the absence of the primary teacher.
