Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health in Georgia seeks a Therapist to serve clients in an outpatient setting, providing individualized case management and clinical services including referrals, screenings, assessments, and counseling for individuals, groups, and families, with crisis intervention as needed.

The role requires an active ASL certification (NIC/CDI/BEI) to ensure direct and accessible communication with Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients.

Qualifications

• Active ASL certification (NIC/CDI/BEI) required.
• Experience in outpatient mental health settings preferred.
• Ability to provide individual, group, and family counseling.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) community.
• Provide assessments, individual, family, crisis, and group counseling per treatment plans; complete paperwork.
• Ensure eligibility criteria are met or refer to appropriate providers.
• Manage caseload with proper charting and closed/updated records.
• Advocate for individuals, communicate with referral sources as needed.
• Participate in an interdisciplinary treatment team.
