The American School for the Deaf in West Hartford, CT seeks an ASD Campus Interpreting Manager to lead the ASD Campus Interpreting team. You will recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and contractors, ensuring timely payroll processing and high-quality interpreting for campus needs.

Collaborate across departments, coordinate major events, manage on-call and VRI services, and analyze quarterly data to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in provision or management of interpreting services preferred.
• Interpreting experience preferred.
• Previous scheduling or workforce coordination experience required.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Deaf community culture and interpreting best practices preferred.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, assign, train, supervise, and evaluate department personnel including employees and independent contractors.
• Manage daily operations to address interpreting needs promptly and accurately.
• Oversee timely submission of payroll and billing information to the Business Office.
• Coordinate interpreter scheduling and scheduling for major campus events.
• Assess requests to allocate resources and coverage effectively.
• Prepare quarterly reports on requests, hours, utilization, and performance.
• Maintain continuous service coverage including on-call and VRI services.
• Serve as liaison for campus departments on interpreting policies and procedures.
