Job summary

Cisco Systems is seeking a Lead ASIC Design Engineer to spearhead the design, development and testing of Silicon One ASICs. You will collaborate with the Central Hardware Group and Silicon Operations testers, aligning with NPI teams to deliver reliable products.

You will ensure ASICs meet customer needs, drive quality, and help bring new Cisco products to market across lines. Strong scripting, Linux, and AI-driven productivity ideas are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 0 years of work experience, or related program with 1 year of work experience
• Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
• Familiarity with Test Coverage and DFT (SCAN/ATPG/MBIST/JTAG)
• Familiarity with ATE and testing concepts
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices and manufacturing flow
• Exposure to scripting languages (Python or Perl) for automation
• Familiarity with Linux-based development environments and Git/SVN
• Strong interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and solve sophisticated engineering challenges

• Meet one of the following, completed within the past 3 years or expected within the next 12 months: Bachelor's degree with 0 years of work experience; educational or workforce development program (e.g., Associate’s, Apprenticeship, Boot camp, or Certification) with 1 year of work experience; or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 2 years of work experience
• Qualifying education and work experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with Test Coverage and DFT (SCAN/ATPG/MBIST/JTAG)
• Familiarity with ATE and testing concepts
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices and manufacturing flow
