Job summary

Meta's Infra Silicon team seeks an ASIC Validation Engineer to drive validation and PVT characterization from emulation to post-silicon testing. The role focuses on hardware bring-up, test setups, and data analysis, contributing to scalable lab automation and framework improvements.

You will develop Python-based test scripts, interpret measurements, and collaborate with design and firmware teams to ensure the reliability of data center ASICs in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant ASIC validation or silicon engineering experience.
• Hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up, debug, and measurement.
• Proficiency with test and measurement instrumentation in a lab.
• Ability to read schematics and platform documentation.
• Proficiency in Python for test development and automation.
• Experience with pre-silicon (emulation/FPGA) or post-silicon validation.

Responsibilities

• Execute validation and PVT characterization test plans on emulation platforms and silicon in the lab.
• Bring up boards and systems, set up test environments and instrumentation.
• Validate domain feature sets and report results against expected behavior.
• Run and interpret domain measurements.
• Write and maintain Python test scripts, automation, and analysis tooling.
• Contribute to the team's shared validation framework.
• Triage and debug failures, narrowing to silicon, firmware, driver, board, or test setup.
• Probe signals using schematics and platform docs and interpret results correctly.
• Produce clean, reproducible characterization data and summaries for design partners.
• Support lab infrastructure: bench, rack, and power setup.
• Instrument calibration and switch/traffic-generator configuration.
• Keep test environments running.
