Lockheed Martin Space in Cambridge, MA is seeking an ASIC & FPGA Design Engineer to join our Silicon Solutions team. You will design, verify, and document ASIC and FPGA projects for space applications, overseeing architecture, development, and testing lifecycle.

You will collaborate with verification teams, conduct technical reviews, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with DoD clearance requirements for US citizenship and security protocols.

Competenze

• Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional FPGA development experience.
• US Citizenship required; DoD Secret clearance obtainable.

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a talented ASIC & FPGA Design Engineer to join their Silicon Solutions team in Cambridge, MA. This role focuses on developing innovative microchip designs for space applications, contributing to the company's vision of transforming the future of space technology.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, verify, and document ASIC and FPGA projects.
• Capture initial requirements and oversee the entire development lifecycle, including architecture, design, analysis, simulations, and testing.
• Conduct technical reviews and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with an independent verification team to ensure design accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional FPGA development experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; US Citizenship is required.

Skills:

• 5 years of professional FPGA development experience preferred.
• Proficiency in HDL programming (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog).
• Experience in the ASIC/FPGA lifecycle, including architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration, and testing.
• Familiarity with space-grade FPGAs and ASICs, and tools like AMD/Xilinx Vivado or Microchip Libero.
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project and JIRA.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• Experience in mentoring junior engineers.
