Job summary

NXP in San Diego, CA seeks an AI/ML driven ASIC Design and Implementation Automation Engineer to explore AI/ML CAD techniques and build prototype automation for SoC and IP development.

The role partners with AI/ML and automation experts, architecture, IP and SoC teams across sites to pilot methods that improve power, performance, and area. You will work on real designs using GenAI, RL, GNNs, CNNs to evaluate best automation solutions.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related disciplines with strong SW development.
• Hands-on programming experience in Python/C++.
• 5+ years of experience in AI and ML techniques (LLMs, CNN, RNN, GraphNN).
• Data structures, algorithms, and SW development for optimization problems.
• Unix/Linux 경험, revision control (Git, BitBucket), SW development and debug tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Explore AI/ML CAD techniques to improve VLSI design using state-of-the-art methods.
• Collaborate with academic and industry teams across sites to evaluate new AI/ML CAD methods.
• Develop prototype automation solutions and pilot implementations on SoC designs and IPs.
• Coordinate Digital Transformation initiatives with Architecture, IP & SoC design teams.
