Job summary

Loews Hotels & Co in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Restaurant Bartender to craft exceptional guest experiences through creative beverages, precise technique, and warm, attentive service in a lively bar setting.

You'll follow recipes, recommend pairings, maintain bar cleanliness, manage orders, and support a collaborative hospitality team. Prior upscale bar or restaurant experience and 2+ years bartending are required; TIPS certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years bartending in an upscale bar or restaurant.
  • Knowledge of cocktail techniques, beer and wine.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following recipes and guest preferences.
  • Recommend cocktails, wine, or pairings based on guest interests.
  • Ensure beverages meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Greet guests warmly and provide personalized service.
  • Take drink orders from guests and servers accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible service practices.
  • Set up and break down the bar and keep it clean and organized.
  • Track inventory levels and report shortages to leadership.
  • Coordinate with servers, barbacks, and culinary teams for smooth operations.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings.

What You Will Do

  • Set up and break down the bar, ensuring supplies, equipment, and garnishes are ready for service
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar, including glassware, surfaces, tools, and waste areas
  • Track inventory levels and report shortages to leadership
  • Adhere to all state and local alcohol service regulations
  • Coordinate with servers, barbacks, and culinary teams for smooth operations
  • Assist with restocking and barback support during busy shifts
  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
  • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications Include:
Required:
  • Previous food and beverage experience, including at least 2 years of bartending experience in an upscale bar or restaurant.
  • Knowledge of cocktail techniques, beer and wine offerings, and responsible alcohol service
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout shift
Preferred:
  • TIPS or similar alcohol-service certification
  • Hotel or upscale restaurant experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
