Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Utility Operator to manage ash handling and metal recovery equipment in the Residue Storage and Processing Building area. You will perform routine operations and inspections of the residue and metal recovery equipment while maintaining safe, efficient processes.

The role features a rotating 12-hour shift, nights and weekends. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in high temperatures, and wear PPE per OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• GED/HS Diploma preferred; Reworld offers GED Works – fully funded program.
• Forklift driving experience is a plus.
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Formal technical or apprenticeship training desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of ash handling and related equipment.
• Fill out daily log sheets and perform inspections.
• Participate in boiler cleanings and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
• Perform lockout and tag out of equipment as part of maintenance activities.
• Complete scheduled Operator Qualifications Standards.
• Drive mobile equipment such as forklifts.
