Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Minnesota seeks an operator to maintain safe and efficient operation of aseptic filling equipment, maximize uptime, and uphold product quality.

You will perform setup, operation, cleaning, sterilization, basic testing, and routine troubleshooting; follow GMPs and all safety and sanitation standards; and report any food safety or quality issues to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and clean aseptic filling equipment safely and effectively.
• Sterilize and manually wash machine components.
• Perform routine basic chemical concentration tests.
• Troubleshoot equipment and notify maintenance when necessary.
• Report food safety and quality issues to management immediately.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with regulations.
• Follow DFA GMPs and corporate safety, sanitation requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Maintain safe and efficient operation of filler equipment while maximizing production up-time, minimizing shrink, and maintaining quality.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform safe and effective set up, operation, and cleaning of the aseptic filling equipment
• Conduct the sterilization and manual washing of machine components
• Perform routine basic chemical concentration tests
• Conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment and contact maintenance when necessary
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
