Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. seeks a production worker to set up, operate and clean aseptic filling equipment in a fast-paced facility, including sterilization and washing of components and routine chemical tests.

Follow DFA GMPs, maintain safety and quality, write clear records, and work well in a team. A high school diploma is preferred; some production experience or a certification may be required. Salary is $28.28/hour on-site; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

• Able to follow directions and carry out instructions.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and clean aseptic filling equipment.
• Sterilize and wash machine components.
• Perform routine basic chemical concentration tests.
• Troubleshoot equipment and contact maintenance when necessary.
• Report food safety and food quality issues to management.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with regulations.
• Follow GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform safe and effective set up, operation, and cleaning of the aseptic filling equipment
• Conduct the sterilization and manual washing of machine components
• Perform routine basic chemical concentration tests
• Conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment and contact maintenance when necessary
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Production or general work experience preferred
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
