Job summary

Qualifications

High school education and ASE certification are required.
State of Hawaii registered mechanic and CDL A with Haz-Mat endorsement.
At least three years’ experience in auto mechanic trade or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Performs tasks under supervision to diagnose, disassemble, repair, and rebuild mechanical engines and electrical systems.
Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles transmissions, clutches, differentials, and final drive assemblies.
Adjusts brakes, clutches, wheel alignment, and repairs radiators and electrical/fuel systems.
Provides general maintenance including tuning and lubrication for vehicle fleets.
Responds to trouble/road calls and maintains a clean, safe workspace.
Reports safety hazards and wears prescribed PPE; follows EH&S training.
Reports to multiple Hawaii Gas garage locations as required.
