Job summary

VIP Tires & Service in Portsmouth, NH is seeking an Installation Technician to perform tire services, oil changes, and under-hood maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. You will work with a team, follow VIP processes, complete service work orders, and maintain tools and workspace.

The role requires automotive experience, preferred two-year technical training, and ASE certifications. Typical schedule is 40 hours per week, non-exempt, with opportunities to advance through LMS

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information to customers and respond to questions from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.

Responsibilities

• Makes safety the priority and follows all safety policies.
• Provide automotive repair and maintenance services (tires, oil changes, MPI, alignments, etc.).
• Initiate a valid Service Work Order before service and display it during service.
• Ensure MPI is completed and participate in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process.
• Return service prints and keys to the Service Desk after completion of service.
• Obtain needed parts from Desk Team and return unused parts.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and shop equipment.
• Participate in training and certification programs and maintain ASE status.
• Assist with shop maintenance and compliance with safety policies.
