Job summary

VIP Tires & Service in Maine seeks an Installation Technician to perform tire services, oil changes, and maintenance. The role requires following VIP processes, maintaining safety, and ensuring service is completed right the first time.

You will complete required training, participate in the 5-for-5 customer engagement process, and coordinate with the Service Manager for parts and scheduling. This position is non-exempt/hourly and typically 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information to customers and respond to questions from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to successfully perform required types of automotive services listed above.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services, oil changes, MPI, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated and displayed with the vehicle.
• Obtain needed parts from the Desk Team and return unused parts after service.
• Maintain shop safety and comply with VIP quality standards and trainings.
• Road test vehicles after service to ensure safe operation.
• Keep work area clean and equipment maintained.
