Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems in Everett, MA. You will guide a team to deliver superior customer service and educate customers on issues and recommended fixes. A proactive mentor will drive quality workmanship and knowledge sharing.

Applicants should have 3+ years of diagnostic experience, ASE certs, and a valid license. Availability for varied shifts and weekend work is expected to support store operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5, plus two others).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, HVAC and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers or staff.
• Lead and mentor technicians to improve customer care and shop efficiency.
• Maintain organized, clean shop and comply with safety rules and company policies.
• Continuously learn new automotive technology through formal training.
