Job summary

Dobbs Tire & Auto Center in Webster Groves, MO is hiring an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles with a focus on quality and safety. Earn $20.00–$45.00 per hour with 40 hours guaranteed weekly under a flag-rate pay structure.

Qualifications

• Ase certifications OR 5+ years of automotive technician experience in a professional shop.
• Missouri State Inspector License OR ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Experience with tire installation, wheel balancing, steering, suspension, and automotive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles for safe operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, oil changes, and general maintenance.
• Carry out Missouri state inspections or obtain certification to do so.
• Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine issues.
• Maintain accurate service documentation for completed work.
• Collaborate with the team to keep the shop operating efficiently and safely.
• Provide professional customer service when explaining repair recommendations.
