Job summary

Dobbs Tire & Auto Center in Saint Charles, MO is hiring an Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic with ASE certification or substantial shop experience. This full-time position offers a guaranteed 40 hours per week at a flag-rate pay structure, with hourly wages from $20.00 to $45.00, depending on experience and qualifications.

You will diagnose, repair, and service vehicles, perform wheel alignments, tire services, brakes, inspections, and general maintenance while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications OR 5+ years of automotive technician experience in a professional shop.
• Missouri State Inspector License OR ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Experience with tire installation, wheel balancing, steering, suspension, and automotive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Technicians diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles.
• They perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, vehicle inspections, steering and suspension work, oil changes, tune-ups, and general automotive maintenance.
• Technicians perform Missouri state inspections or obtain certification to do so.
• They use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine repair issues.
• Team members maintain accurate service documentation for completed work.
• Technicians work collaboratively with the team to keep the shop operating efficiently and safely.
• They provide professional customer service when explaining repair recommendations to customers.
