Job summary

Dobbs Tire & Auto Center is seeking an Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic who is ASE certified or has 5+ years of hands-on shop experience. The role offers a flag-rate structure with 30 guaranteed hours per week and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match.

Technicians diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, performing wheel alignments, tire services, brake work, inspections, and general maintenance.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications OR 5+ years of automotive technician experience in a professional shop.
• Missouri State Inspector License OR ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Experience with tire installation, wheel balancing, steering, suspension, and automotive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles for safe operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, brakes, inspections, steering and suspension work, and oil changes.
• Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine issues.
• Maintain accurate service documentation for completed work.
• Collaborate with team to keep the shop operating efficiently and safely.
• Provide professional customer service when explaining repair recommendations.
