Job summary

Dobbs Tire & Auto Center in Troy, OH is hiring an Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic. ASE Certified or 5+ years of hands-on experience preferred to join our high-performing shop.

We offer guaranteed weekly hours and a flag-rate pay structure with pay ranging from $20.00 to $45.00 per hour. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and strong opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications OR 5+ years of automotive technician experience in a professional shop.
• Missouri State Inspector License OR ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Experience with tire installation, wheel balancing, steering, suspension, and automotive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, vehicle inspections, steering and suspension work, oil changes, tune-ups, and general automotive maintenance.
• Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine repair issues.
• Team members maintain accurate service documentation for completed work.
• Collaborate with the team to keep the shop operating efficiently and safely.
• Provide professional customer service when explaining repair recommendations to customers.
