Job summary

Rochester Community Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year at Long Meadow Elementary School in Rochester Hills, MI. This is a 1.0 FTE position focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) support for students with special needs.

The role requires a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate and ASD-SV certification, with experience in ASD preferred. Salary is per the Rochester Education Association Master Agreement, and the district is an Equal Opportunity

Qualifications

Must hold valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
Must be certified in Autism Spectrum Disorder - SV.
Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.

Responsibilities

Comply with timelines, laws and regulations that relate to district, state, federal policies and procedures.
Monitor and document student progress on IEP goals.
Collaborate with all service providers, and other staff to develop instruction and support goals that are designed to meet the learning needs of students.
Compile and submit monthly Medicaid reports.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
Participate in building meetings as directed by the building principal.
Performs other duties as requested by the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
