Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate in area of Responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in area of major study preferred.
• Physical and mental ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Responsibilities

• Provides direct instruction in various learning environments aligned with district standards and promotes student growth.
• Facilitates case management, develops IEPs, and maintains accurate records for fidelity of services.
• Conducts formal and informal assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Communicates with parents/guardians about programs and services and engages families in progress and IEP goals.
• Collaborates with general education staff to support inclusive practices in the least restrictive environment.
