Job summary

LifeWorks School in Media, PA is seeking an energetic Instructional Assistant to support our ASD program for the 2026-2027 academic year. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available and the role offers meaningful work with adolescents facing behavioral health challenges in a therapeutic day school setting.

Responsibilities include classroom management, reinforcing teacher instruction, one-on-one student support, and completing classroom-related tasks to maintain an effective learning environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years related college course work or Associate Degree.
Prior experience working with adolescent with behavioral health challenges within a school setting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom management assistance to teacher when working with students on an individual basis as well as the entire class.
Reinforce material already introduced by the teacher to the class.
Provide educational assistance to students on a one to one basis.
Completes tasks assigned by teacher pertaining to classroom environment, educational materials, and other operational functions in the classroom, i.e. grading papers, researching materials, phone calls, point sheet tabulation, etc.
