Ionia County Intermediate School District seeks a Health Care Aide to support ASD classrooms and assist teachers with education and behavioral support for students who may exhibit challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities include physical support, monitoring behavior data, incident reporting, following written plans, and supervising students during all activities throughout the day; start ASAP with school calendar alignment.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to interact with professionals and health care aides in providing a positive educational experience for children.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred.
• Physical ability to safely lift students as needed: 50 pounds, or up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Balanced calendar schedule.

Aufgaben

• Provide physical support to students with varying strength and emotional behaviors.
• Implements program-wide and individual student behavior intervention programs, including monitoring behavior data collection, preparing incident reports, physical intervention and reward system under the direction of classroom teachers.
• Ability to take feedback from others and to follow a behavior plan directly as written.
• Supervises and monitors students within classroom activities as well as non-structured settings (i.e. arrival, departure, lunch, field trips and recess).
