Job summary

Pankalo Education Center, part of Northeast Metro 916, seeks a qualified teacher to serve students in grades K-8 with emotional/behavioral disorders, autism, and related needs. The educator will deliver instruction across settings and adapt materials to diverse learners.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and a K-12 license in ASD or EBD, with a commitment to individualized planning and collaborative family engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and teaching license (K-12) in Autism Spectrum Disorders or Emotional Behavior Disorders.
• Must be eligible for Minnesota PELSB licensure in ASD or EBD.
• Experience with special education planning and IEP development.
• Knowledge of differentiated instruction and behavioral management techniques.
• Proficiency with student information systems and basic computer software.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned disciplines in classrooms, small groups, or at home as needed.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and related reports.
• Establish and enforce behavioral rules to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, teachers, and administrators to address student needs.
• Maintain accurate student records including grades and attendance.
• Participate in meetings and complete related duties.
