Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification.
• Special Education endorsement in ASD preferred or willingness to add ASD.
• Must meet State of Michigan Professional Development requirements.
• Previous experience with students with disabilities.
• CPI, CPR, and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Develop Individualized Education Program(s) for students based on evaluation data and research-based practices.
• Support student learning in the least restrictive environment.
• Differentiate instruction to ensure student's progress.
• Document student progress on goals, accommodations, service time, and discipline/suspensions.
• Collaborate with service providers, general education teachers, and other staff for evaluation data and reviews.
• Develop, implement and evaluate behavior support plans.
• Log and maintain monthly Service Capture reporting for Medicaid Billing.
• Maintain an electronic log of student goals and objectives and related services.
