Valor Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Washington county. The role offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, three weeks of PTO to start, and a weekday schedule.

As a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP Certified), you will perform in-house lab procedures, collaborate with the PACT team, and ensure specimen integrity, quality controls, and compliance with VA guidelines to support veteran patients.

Qualificações

• ASCP certification or equivalent certifying organization.
• Completion of a 2-year Medical Laboratory Technician program.
• Demonstrates ethical and moral attitudes and a commitment to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Must have computer program experience to be able to function in this position.
• Minimum of one year of relevant medical practice experience.
• Must hold a current and valid BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Annual PPD.
• COVID Vaccination or a religious/medical exemption is required to work in any VA facility.

Responsabilidades

• Perform in-house laboratory procedures to provide information for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases within the scope of the clinic.
• Enter laboratory requests/results into the VISTA/CPRS system.
• Ensure that all lab equipment is maintained and calibrated following manufacturers’ recommendations and clinic policies and procedures.
• Ensure specimens are properly collected and labeled.
• Assure quality controls are run and documented per manufacture and system guidelines.
• Comply with VA guidelines and mandatory safety measures.
• Provide excellent customer service to veterans and colleagues.
