Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced administrator to oversee all functions of the Surgery Center(s), including budgeting, compliance, credentialing, and quality programs. You will work with physicians, hospital administrators, and system staff to improve operations and profitability.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in healthcare management; an MBA/MHA and more than three years' experience are preferred. Travel locally and nationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with three years of management experience in a health care setting.
• MBA, MHA, or comparable degree and more than three years of experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop goals and objectives for the department and administer policies, procedures and departmental processes as needed.
• Oversee all clinical, financial and personnel functions of Ambulatory Surgery Center(s) and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develops new policies and procedures and review annually.
• Prepare annual budget and board meeting materials; credentialing and appointments of staff.
• Oversee Quality Improvement and Risk Management programs; manage Safety Program.
• Evaluate equipment purchases and services; coordinate with attorneys/consultants as needed.
• Communicate delegated responsibilities to staff and keep administration updated on problems/needs related to patient care and staff.
• Assess complex situations to improve operations and profitability and plan program changes.
