Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI)—Peachtree Spine Surgery Center in the Atlanta metro area—seeks a Payment Poster to handle medical accounts receivable and post payments in a fast-paced ASC setting.

The successful candidate will demonstrate organization, data entry, and strong communication skills, with experience in medical A/R highly preferred; a professional who works well autonomously within a team is ideal.

Qualifications

• A/R experience in medical field preferred.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in financial records.
• Ability to analyze information and prepare reports.
• Proficient with financial software and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions from lock box and local deposits.
• Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
• Maintains records by microfilming invoices, debits, and credits.
• Resolves discrepancies by obtaining information from sales, customer service, and customers.
• Resolves valid/invalid deductions and applies appropriate adjustments.
• Monitors collections by reviewing payment history and coordinating with collections.
• Prepares reports by summarizing receivables and transfers.
