The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of construction experience and hold an Asbestos Worker Certification. Overview

EnviroVantage, Inc, an industry-leading Environmental Remediation & Demolition Contractor since 1985, is expanding its team. Servicing projects nationwide and across the Caribbean, EnviroVantage is a trusted authority for Government, Commercial & Industrial projects involving hazardous materials handling and demolition.

Responsibilities

• Execute specific asbestos/demolition tasks as instructed
• Clean and prepare project sites
• Work off ladders, lifts or scaffolding and with mechanical equipment as needed
• Operate hand tools and power tools
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Focusing on safety at all times

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years construction experience required
• Asbestos Worker Certification required
• OSHA 10 or higher construction training preferred; if not current, willing to obtain certificate within 30 days of hire
• Experience with construction hand tools required
• Experience working outside during all seasons and in all weather required
• Able to pass pre-employment post-offer physical
• Excellent communication skills
• Organized, hardworking and motivated
• Strong team player with positive attitude

Working Environment / Physical Demands

• Coordination: Ability to coordinate actions with other workers on busy construction sites
• Attendance: Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner; regular and prompt attendance are essential
• Working Conditions: Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, rain, pollution and toxic atmospheres
• PPE: Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator, and participate in OSHA-required medical surveillance programs as necessary
• Lifting: Ability to lift construction debris and up to 50 lbs regularly
• Climbing: Ability to climb temporary or permanent stairs and ladders
• Postures: Regularly required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Compensation

• Compensation Range: $24.00 - $26.00/hour
• Actual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
