Job summary

EMSL Analytical, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Asbestos) to perform bulk/material analysis for asbestos using PLM, PCM, and TEM, with data entry into LIMS and report generation.

You will work Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., performing QA/QC, equipment maintenance, and collaborating with team members. A geology-related degree is preferred and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology or related science preferred.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Light microscopy/optical mineralogy training preferred.
0–1 year experience in asbestos PLM/TEM/PCM analysis.
Ability to distinguish colors for analysis.
Team player with good time management and organization.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze bulk and solid materials for asbestos content using PLM/PCM/TEM.
Determine visual percentage and optical properties of materials.
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
Generate reports and enter data into the LIMS system.
Adhere to QA/QC procedures per manual.
Handle administrative duties including data entry and report filing.
Assist manager with other tasks as needed.
