Job summary

Meirowitz & Wasserberg, LLP is seeking an Asbestos Intake Manager to oversee the firm’s intake department, with flexibility for remote work nationwide or on-site in Manhattan. You will lead the intake team, coordinate case assignments, and ensure timely handling of referrals while maintaining SOP compliance.

The role requires strong organizational skills, a background in mass tort or personal injury intake, and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in legal intake or mass tort environments.
• Experience supervising a legal intake team.
• Strong knowledge of intake workflows and case management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with case management systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor intake email inbox and assign referrals promptly.
• Ensure mesothelioma referrals are directed to the right team.
• Oversee daily intake workflow and balance workloads.
• Lead weekly intake meetings with department leadership.
• Document all activity in SmartAdvocate (SA).
• Collaborate with attorneys and referral sources to streamline intake.
