Job summary

Intertek, a leading quality and safety solutions provider, seeks an Environmental Asbestos Technician I to join its St. Louis team. The role covers asbestos surveys, third-party monitoring, and lead-based paint surveys, with fieldwork and report writing.

Some overnight travel is required. Qualified candidates have a BS in Environmental Science or 5 years in asbestos consulting, and may need an Asbestos Inspector license in Missouri.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Science or 5 years experience in asbestos consulting/abatement.
• Experience with asbestos, lead-based paint, or mold inspection is a plus.
• License: Missouri Asbestos Inspector or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform field sampling of asbestos and IAQ media on projects as directed.
• Assist in work scope development, report prep, and client coordination.
• Maintain training records and field instrumentation; support QA/QC and safety programs.
• Communicate with clients and regulators to keep projects on schedule.
• Operate testing equipment and analyze data reporting results.
