Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants following current rules and facility guidelines.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with policies and procedures.
• Review department policies and recommend revisions.
• Plan shifts, services, and activities with staff and support.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure updates.
• Prepare and discuss shift activity reports with Nurse Supervisor.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident care teams.
• Document discharge plans and participate in discharge planning.
• Administer medications as ordered and verify resident identity.
• Maintain medication records, charts, and incident reports.
• Ensure proper documentation of nursing care and charting.
