Job summary

The Reserve at East Longmeadow, a LCB Senior Living community, is seeking as-needed cooks in East Longmeadow, MA. Hourly pay ranges from $21.00 to $24.00, with flexible as-needed scheduling.

You will contribute to a restaurant-style dining atmosphere and work with the Culinary Services Director to ensure resident satisfaction. Responsibilities include preparing meals per recipes, maintaining a clean kitchen, and assisting with special events.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Serve Safe Certification required.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and production guides, cleaning schedules and logs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service and promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere.
• Assist Culinary Director with supervision of culinary staff.
• Assist with preparation and execution of dining programs and events.
• Maintain kitchen and food storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
• Open and/or close the kitchen and adhere to cleaning schedules.
• Ensure food is received, stored and prepared to company standards.
• Estimate daily or weekly food and supplies needs and communicate with the food service director.
• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and approved menus.
• Document food temperatures before service and monitor refrigeration temperatures.
