Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP in Los Angeles seeks an Engineer II to join our team supporting a major natural gas utility client. The role focuses on reconciliation, development, review, and validation of as-built drawings and related documentation.

Responsibilities include preparing markups, maintaining asset databases, labeling components, calculating stationing, resolving field/design discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with GIS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 5+ years in natural gas pipeline design or related engineering role.
• Knowledge of pipeline/electrical design components and practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and incorporate markups for updated elements on as-built drawings.
• Maintain asset management tables for accuracy.
• Label valves, filters, and regulators per GIS standards.
• Calculate stationing for fittings and components.
• Review photos and DIRs to resolve field/design discrepancies.
• Verify electrical equipment location outside hazardous areas or properly rated.
• Ensure cable and conduit schedules match layouts.
• Review drawing rejection comments and coordinate revisions.
• QC as-built drawings to ensure all markups are incorporated.
