Job summary

Omaha Performing Arts is seeking a Campus Security Guard to help ensure the safety of staff, patrons, and property at the Holland Center, Orpheum Theater, Tenaska Center and Steelhouse Omaha. You will perform day-to-day safety tasks, monitor facilities, and coordinate with security staff to prevent threats and incidents.

The role requires vigilance, strong communication, ability to multi-task, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform front-line security functions.
• Assist with facilitating positive and informative communication among the security team.
• Protect property from threats including vandalism, trespass and other security risks.
• Monitor the building fire alarm and assist with evacuations during alarms.
• Submit daily security reports to the team.
• Notify staff of emergencies or damage.
• Ensure compliance with policies by staff and visitors.
• Prevent entry of weapons using metal detectors at entrances.
