Job summary

Lorain County Metro Parks seeks a Cultural Arts & Nature Coordinator to produce and conduct a broad range of educational programs about arts, nature, and Lorain County’s cultural history. The role includes planning exhibits, scheduling staff, and managing facility setups for rentals and performances.

The position requires excellent communication, experience in public relations and event planning, and flexibility to work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or associate degree in arts/theatre/cultural history; required experience in the fields.
Experience in developing and conducting educational programs is a must.
Public relations, customer service, admin support, and scheduling events/staff are required.

Responsibilities

Produce and conduct a wide variety of educational programs related to arts, nature, and local culture.
Plan and produce temporary and permanent displays and exhibits.
Schedule staff and supervise seasonal/part-time employees as assigned.
Perform facility set-up and maintenance.
Open/close nature center for rentals, rehearsals, and performances; supervise front of house and box office.
Communicate professionally with diverse groups; strong written skills.
Oversee execution of independent contracts for theatre productions.
