The role blends hands-on operations with coordination and administration, supervising the Equipment Room and student workers while coordinating with IT, vendors, and university units.

The position emphasizes safety, budget-conscious purchasing, and timely service coordination, reporting to the AMPD Chair.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a technical degree/certificate or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible facilities/ops experience.
• Hands-on equipment setup, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
• Experience supervising student workers or staff.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day readiness and use of instructional, production, and support spaces.
• Manage Equipment Room operations, inventory, and student workers.
• Coordinate repairs and services with IT, facilities, and vendors.
• Track software licenses and purchasing within approved processes.
• Ensure safety procedures and training are implemented across spaces.
