Job summary

Lewis & Clark College is seeking a part-time assistant to support Arts@LC initiatives, working with the Dean of Students’ office and arts staff. You will help with program support, materials prep, and database maintenance.

Job Purpose

Worker is responsible for general support of the Arts@LC initiative. The Arts@LC initiative will showcase Lewis and Clark's Art, Music, Theatre/Dance, Creative Writing and RHMS departments to prospective students and their families, emphasizing how the arts are vital to the L&C mission to educate ethical and engaged global citizens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing support to the Arts@LC Administrator and Directors
  • Assisting in Arts@LC programming (First Fridays @ Watzek, FOSA performing arts stage, etc)
  • Preparing admissions material and making copies
  • Serving on Arts@LC Steering Committee
  • Basic graphic design work for print and web marketing
  • Providing exceptional support to arts students, faculty and the public
  • Ongoing point person for communications between Platteau Managers and Arts@LC staff
  • Creating and maintaining Google Docs databases
  • Creating Arts@LC newsletter
  • Other general office work as necessary
Additional Duties
  • Ability to create databases and documents such as Google Forms and Excel spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with Google Suite
  • Basic graphic design skills, experience with Canva a plus
  • Proficient with social media platforms Facebook and InstagramExcellent writing skills
