JOB PURPOSE:

Student Archives Assistants help with the processing of records and archives, the invigilation of the rare books reading room in Watzek Library, create access to rare books, and help us build collections like "Vietnamese Portland". Please email hcrumme@lclark.edu with questions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Help process historical records.
  • Build collections that witness the history of Lewis & Clark and of Portland.
  • Invigilate the rare books reading room.
  • Digital humanities skills are a bonus.
RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS DIVERSITY:

Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College.

SCHEDULE:

Varies depending on schedule.

RATE OF PAY:

$16.80 per hour

WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT:

Federal or L&C Work Study preferred, but not required.

Eligibility to Work
